Making an relaxing song 101

A brief introduction

Hey guys! My name is Diego Pontes and I am the composer behind the soundtrack of MunchIt! First of all, I want to thank razcore for the opportunity of working with him, I learned a lot about Godot in the process! With that said, now let's talk about the process of making a song for this game, and also about my plans for the future.

How to portray the  audiovisual

So, when raz came to me with the core idea of the game, I knew it would be a turn based game about cells or something like that, which reminded me on the fly game like spore (on the cell level) and even agar.io, so, I needed to do something that would relax the player and making it be enjoyable even if the player be on the game for 5 minutes, or na entire hour, and this is how I came with the core instrument idea: PADS. This is "digital instrument" type, largely used to make harmony on electronic songs, and that's exactly how I used them on my song for MunchIt, a solid harmony,  that has variations on it's properties along the way, without drums (to not conduct the game in na certain pace), and without melody (in the case, a melody could become repetitive along the time). And now with the game becoming more and more shaped, stay tuned, and remember, you can find all of my songs at: https://soundcloud.com/pontesmusic!
